Why speak Spanish?

I could give you a dozen reasons about why I think you should speak Spanish, but if none of them really clicks with you then what's the point. My first attempt at learning was because I was visiting Spain a lot and wanted to speak with the locals, but what really got me interested was when I started dating a Spanish girl.
